Kitchy hasn't been in the comic for a while, it was nice to draw him again.
Character Description
Kitchy is Dave's roommate. The handsome lanky little weasel is from Quebec on a student visa. Disarming blue eyes with a personality and confidence to match, he speaks his mind with a thick Quebequios accent. Kitchy is fluent in both World Anthro(Chucky's language) and his native tongue of Quebeqois. He may come across as a bit snobbish at first, always well dressed with a 'Frenchy' accent. But get to know him, and you'll find he's loyal and caring to all he befriends. Kitchy is majoring in Aviation Science with goals of becoming a corporate pilot.
Personality
Kitchy is driven to succeed. If he wants something, he goes after it and will use whatever means he can to attain his goal. Believes in living life to the fullest and doing what makes himself happy, even if it's a little self destructive. Very open-minded and non-judgemental. Believes in politeness and presentation as a social value, but has no problem unleashing a torrent of insults and profanity if someone deserves it. Self-confident and thick-skinned, Kitchy is not easily offended and will usually avoid meaningless conflict, but will not back down from a confrontation. He can also be a complete smart-ass with a raunchy sense of humor.
Ironically, Kitchy feels life and goals are meaningless without friends to share them with. When it comes to those he cares about, he is very emotional. Seeing a friend happy, makes him very happy. Seeing a friend hurt, will make him cry.
Likes/Dislikes
Kitchy likes aviation as a career path, but not so much as an enthusiast. He likes drinking wine, smoking the occasional cigarette, watching or playing hockey, and just spending time with his friends. He really likes girls, but mostly for sex.
Being driven and goal oriented, Kitchy has a real disdain for those who feel entitlement, especially if they're rich. He also has a special dislike for impoliteness. Ironically, girls get under his skin too, he's a bit sexist.
Background/History
Kitchy was born October 19, 6985 in St. Eustache, Quebec. He is the youngest of 8 children to Leonel and Rochelle D'Chapin. The D'Chapins are the 16th wealthiest family in Quebec, owners of D'Chapin Holdings and Financal Company. The family fortune is worth about $8.5 billion, the company is worth a lot more. Each child has a personal trust of $2 million to use as needed. Kitchy doesn't have to work a day in his life if he doesn't want to. But that isn't who he is.
Kitchy was the cutest, most quiet, most inquisitive little weasel there ever was. He was so polite and well behaved that he immediately became the adored and spoiled baby brother. His parents loved him, his siblings loved or envied him, house guests spoiled him with attention. He learned very early on that charm and politeness make the world a better place, and it gets you what you want. Kitchy, like all wealthy kids in Quebec, went to a special primary school. Along with academics, he was groomed to live in high society. He learned the manerisms, ediquette, dress, and customs of Quebec's wealthy. As he grew, he noticed how frequently these customs were superfiscial and sometimes meaningless. How often those that spoke polite to his face, may stab him in the back later if it served their purpose. Between 8 and 10 years old, Kitchy started wondering if his friends were really his friends, or did they just want something from him? It made him sad.
Something that always made Kitchy feel better was playing hockey. No superfiscial manerisms or speech, just good physical teamwork. He could let loose and be a kid. Everyone's true self came out on the ice. He found he enjoyed something else too, flying. When Kitchy was 9 years old, his father started taking him on business trips in the company's private planes. He found aviation very facinating. By his fourth trip, he spent most of the time up front talking to the pilots. He told his father he wanted to be a pilot. His father laughed,"Aw Kitchy, someday you'll have your own pilots to fly you around. That's not something you want to be." Kitchy was crushed inside. How could his father, whom he loved and loved him, just laugh at him like this. He began seeing things very different from then on.
Adolescense and puberty hit Kitchy almost immediately after he turned 12. He rebelled against the high society ways he was taught. He stopped using ediquette and started swearing. He spoke his mind openly, often critisizing family and classmates about their own snooty behavior. He'd chastise a few of his sisters about being slutty while they put on a prim and proper facade. He berrated his mother for her self importance. Kitchy used his charm and nature to talk to the house servants, groundskeepers, and yes, his father's pilots, to find out how little they were paid. When he confronted his dad, the real trouble began.
Kitchy was given a soul crushing lecture about the importance of the family name and honor, the proper place of obedient workers, and the proper respect a son should show by continuing in the family business. He was grounded for 6 months and put on surveillance by all his teachers. Kitchy withdrew emotionally. He kept perfect grades, played the proper behavior game, meanwhile hatching a plan. He had no interest in his family's cutthroat financial business, he wanted to be a pilot. He had to get out.
Throughout his teens, Kitchy learned to use and abuse all the snooty rich kids around him, especially the girls. He'd play three girls at once, and then watch the fun when they found out about each other. It was fun, but disgusting.
His only true friend was his oldest sister, Musette. He confided in her his plan to leave Quebec, she helped. Using her home address, he applied to and was accepted to NETU. Kitchy slipped out the back door at 12:30 am and rode his bike to the train station. By 4am, he was safely across the border in New England with a WAFN Student ID, $2 million in a Boston bank, and a life of his choosing.

It takes place on Earth, 50,000 years in the future. Humans are extinct, various groups of animals have evolved into anthros. I've kept a lot of the same names of places, assumes that there was a little overlap of humans and early anthros. Of course I'm sticking with familiar themes and a bit of pop culture reference because it's fun. Like Dave wearing a Boston Bruins shirt, and Adam wearing a shirt with a rabbit that looks like Che Guevara. It's complete Sci-fi BS, but it's just so much fun.
I just sort of, didn't manage to get it in there. I used Inkbunny's character sheet template to write this, and it has a 4000 character limit on the character's personal history. I just never found a place to put it in. But yes, that does leave it open to be revealed later on.
Thanks, I'm happy about the suit drawing.

Really enjoying the comic, though, as a Canadian French-speaker, I thought I might mention that even in Québec, you don't get names that begin with "D-apostrophe" if the next letter is a consonant. Linguistically-speaking, it would be "De Chapin". Though, that far in the future, the language could certainly have evolved.
