Umm, hate to burst your bubble, but you don't hold baritones like that... ^^; You hold it more vertical, so what you guys are playing there are marching horns I think. Sorry, I'm a trombone player and I happen to know a bit about baritones and such, and that they aren't held like that.

My lil schpeel over, great job! It looks almost like a dynamic music vid......type....thing....! You know, the band playing in the background, then they do an overlay shot of the soloist/soli'ists (solo=one, soli=an entire group) ^^;;

you're right XD we were playing like this because, if I'm not wrong, the person who took this picture got us in the climax of the music, and you know XD we were enjoying it, we were kinda... "dancing" =P

and we're mirroring in bands like: Blue Devils, the Cavaliers, and other great drum corps from DCI

Marching baritones like those used in drum corps and those pictures are still referred to as "baritones". "Marching horns" are trumpet-shaped forward-bell French Horn analogues in the key of Bb, as opposed to the F "mellophones" that are more common. I play all of these, which is why I know :P.

No I never joined a corps; I just never really had the time. Also, marching band tends to mess up the French Horn embochure because of trying to direct the bell upwards and ruining the mouthpiece angle, so I haven't been in a marching band after I started college.
