Teehee, I've had these little creatures in my mind for a while and I thought I'd share them with you. Please don't steal them tough. I'm planning on doing 2 dollar adoptables of these, so if you're interested, just have a little patience and you can get your hands on one~
Basics
Sapichi (One Sapich) are little morphing creatures. They kind of resemble one celled organisms, with a protective membrane and a fluid tissue inside it. They can grow up to 20 cm high and can live up to 3 years. A Sapich can split itself and multiply, which is their manner of reproduction. There is no sexual dimorphism in this species.
Morphing
All Sapichi resemble each other in shape, but in the first year of existence, they take the shape of a living organism they like as well as changing their colour to one they favour. Once the Sapich has chosen to morph, it can never morph back and if they don't morph within their first year, they aren't able to morph either. The example above has morphed into a feline, but it is also possible to turn into flora or even into inanimate objects, but this is rare. Size is also affected by the things they choose to morph into. For example, a Sapich that chooses to morph into an elephant will be bigger than one that chooses a dog or a mouse, but they very rarely go over 20 cm. Sapichi are herbivores and absorb the life tissue of flora with their eating organ.
Sensory
Sapichi only receive light and and vibration thus can only see and feel. They don't hear, taste or smell anything, regardless of their mimicked sensory receivers like ears or noses. Vibration and motion are their way of communication through combinations of gestures and purring sounds. The purring sounds can only be received by touching each other and is something they considered intimate and is reserved for those they care for. The "brain" is directly attached to the eyes, so their visual sensors are extremely fast and superior to most other species.
Emotional
The emotional range of Sapichi is limited to the very basic emotions of sadness, happiness and anger, however they have one extra which is attachment, something they feel very strongly. Attachment is the reason they morph as they "fall in love" with something and want to resemble it as much as possible. This attachment is formed in their first year, however on rare occasions one won't be able to attach to one certain thing and thus never morphs.
Exceptional appearance
It is known that some Sapichi will actually mix the appearances of multiple organisms, but very rare. The same can happen with colours, rather than having one colour, a Sapach can adopt multiple colours.
Sapichi may also adopt patterns, rather than solid colours.
Too much melanin -> rather than being translucent, the Sapach looks opaque. Opaque Sapichi tend to have a very short lifespan. Only organs should be opaque.
Eye colour greatly differentiates from overall colour -> Variant of adopting multiple colours, however it is limited to having a different eye colour than the rest of the body.
I think that's all. If you have questions, feel free to ask~
