I liked this too much to keep on my dusty Tumblr account, so here you go! Just a couple of incidental characters coming up in the next book.
Before I catch any flack over the raccoon's shield placement, I didn't want to cover his left arm for the purpose of this sketch, but didn't want to forget he had a shield, soooooo yeah.

MMMYES MAGPIES. GOOD. Used to have those guys everywhere back when I lived in Colorado. I miss 'em. They are such gorgeous birds. Looking forward to seeing him (and the 'coon, of course) in the comic! Both of these character designs are very eye-catchingly unique.
Just curious about the design of the magpie's wing-arms. Are his hands just feathers that bend like fingers (like cartoon-bird style)? Or are they actually hands with feathers on them? None of the above?
