This started as a little sketch in the corner of a drawing pad one evening, and I just couldn't leave it be. Before I knew it, I'd taken a photograph of it (as the quality's still far better than my scanner, especially at such a small scale) and was going over the lines. Then I decided I wanted to put some effort into it, so spent the next two days staring at my computer screen, only leaving for cups of tea.
For once, it's the background that I love - as I can't do backgrounds. I'm so extra pleased with how the sky turned out.
The characters could have done with more work, particularly with shading, and for a change I thought I'd try something with the lighting - it's far from perfect, but almost to the effect I was aiming for.
The hare being my character Amethystle, the fennecat Corker's fursona.
