not that heavy, its a little bit heaver then a land raider the whole thing is made from plastic card and box tubing. A friend of mine gave me a PDF file on how to make a card board, instead of card I used shits of plastic, I printed out the templates and cut them out and stuck them down to the plastic using spray glue that comes in a can. To cut everything out I used a modeling knife and a steel ruler. I used duck tape to hold things place on the inside, I used super glue to stick every thing together.
the only advice I can think of is take your time don't rush things, build your self a frame in which you can build on, keep with simple shapes in which can add more complex shapes to.
