Definitely our mutual aquaintence. I've stuck to my guns about not doing any more "All Hail Cobra" pictures, so this is what I get instead.

Well, you got the ink style down so well I first thought it was some kind of Marvel product or well-done cut-and-paste

It mostly just exhibits my mad tracing skillz, although I did draw and ink the animal parts myself.

He could have flipped it and gave you pages from G.I.Joe that featured Cobra Commander, then you'd have been stuck.

I wouldn't mind that so much, because Cobra Commander wears a mask so I wouldn't have to bother drawing in a new head for him!

What markers were used? I would like to know

I use a combination of Prismacolor, Blick, Tria and Letraset ProMarker. All the alcohol-based ones work together fine. I only have a couple Copic markers because they're generally too expensive.

After doing a little research regarding this commissioner, you have my sympathy good sir. I imagine how taxing that must get after a while. especially since he's asked for the same pictures over and over from all over the place.

I don't know if it's impressive or sad that a number of people hereknow this obscure character from a 1960's comic!

And not only is it an obscure character-- it's a lame obscure character. I sort of wish this guy would at least give me a cool obscure comic to do...

Not that obscure. He keeps popping up every now and then. He was involved in a major Avengers storyline just a couple of years ago.

I never thought the Controller was a lame villain so much as he was a pathetic character. That is, without the leeching of energy through his devices, he was essentially immobile and helpless; he depended heavily upon the vitality of his victims. He might even have been a sympathetic villain if not for the megalomaniac mad scientist monologues.

Not only do I recognize the villain, but I can even identify the original artist through some of the posing: George Tuska. Which would fit; he was pretty much the Iron Man artist for many years.

So, wait... this would make him Basil the Rat, which makes this a very subtle Fawlty Towers reference.
