A few weeks back, while at AC, I'd spent the majority of Sunday evening/night hanging out with

as well. It was a lot of fun getting to sit around and chat with all of them because they're all really nice people and super talented artists to boot!
This manticore was one of the things I'd sketched out that evening, and I'd practically forgot about it until earlier today when I was flipping through my sketchbook. So I took a picture of what I had, finished it up in photoshop, and threw on a little color and effects so it'd stand out a little better.
Hardly my finest work, but I'd still liked it enough to want to post it.
I've got another picture in the works as well, so hopefully you'll see that soon too.

I like this a lot! The oddly-sized limbs and over-sized wings make for an unsettling but effective balance. I really like how you over-emphasized the most dangerous and fearsome elements of the character. It fits well with the scratchy, sketchy linework to make this look less like a reflection of something real but more like a bad memory, as if someone were retelling having seen this fearsome creature. Nice job!
I think you had seen it O: I recall having shown it to Magnus and I think you may have seen it at that time too. I hadn't entirely finished it while I was there though, I still needed to add the face and left wing. I do know I'd spent at least an hour working on it, so do't feel too bad about your sketches haha i know I always take a while with mine too
