Well, this is actually Deirdre. She just seems to have stolen her daughter's clothes for a little while, because I wanted to have Oli draw Deirdre in clothes and I have so few pictures of her actually wearing anything. But it's getting harder to tell the two of them apart, isn't it, especially now Deirdre seems to be letting her hair grow a little. Which is something I had not planned on at all, but just seems to be happening! But I'm glad you like it, anyway, and Oli did a wonderful job with capturing a sense of serenity and calm. It's very soothing to just look at.
All that said, I do rather like this outfit for Ciara, too. I'd originally planned for her to wear it only once, as the red tunic and black trousers was supposed to be the uniform for her father's army - another reason why Deirdre is wearing it here - but it just kind of stuck. I suppose it lets her hold on to a little bit of who she is and where she came from, while her life seems to become more and more dominated by rabbits. Not that she minds that at all, of course.

Oh, no need to be sorry! It's an easy enough mistake to make, especially since, as you pointed out, this particular outfit has really become part of Ciara's overall look. At least when she wears clothes it is. I know what you mean about thinking you read something in a description when it's not even there, as I've done that on more than one occasion, myself. Plus, like I said, the fact that Deirdre's hair seems to be growing out only furthers the deception. I think she's just trying to make herself look younger, the sneaky vixen!
I have to admit that I rather like the fact that they look so much alike, too. You're right, it's something of a reminder of what Ciara's life could have been like, and while Deirdre's life hasn't been all bad I think she'd want to spare her daughter the trouble that it brings, too. But it does mean I have to be a bit more careful in distinguishing between them. Especially since I have a few ideas for pictures with Deirdre and Niamh that I'd like to get done sometime. Of course, they won't be adult pictures, so that might be one way to tell the difference!

Aha, nice to see Deirdre again. In spite of (as Eliki mentioned) the red maybe being a colour I'd more associate with Ciara, I think it suits Deirdre very well here. It's an interesting choice: you wouldn't necessarily choose bright red as a colour for a "seeking peace" picture -- but then the surrounding environment isn't peaceful.
Indeed. I thought it was time she got to make another appearance. She's still one of my very favorites, and as I've been working on a little story that centers around her I was in the mood to let her come out to play. I'm glad the outfit works for her, too. Like you, and like Eliki, I really do associate it much more with Ciara, who really has made it her own. With that said, though, I do like how it sort of connects mother and daughter, and while I hadn't actually articulated it, even to myself, I agree that the bright red of the tunic does a pretty good job as a stand in for the conflict around her. It seems like she always at war, even if it's just with herself, and what peace she finds is fleeting at best. Still, as long as she keeps hoping and trying, maybe things will work out for her.
