darkness 2 is SO fun. i was disappointed when i beat it. (it seemed so short!!)

it WAS short. I was actually in denial that it was over until the last name went by on the credits. I was like 'DA FUQ' But it was so fun I forgave them lol

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE

The Darkness 2 is sadly, incredibly shitty compared to the first one, wich was frenzy and epic... and MUCH more moody.

One of the games I enjoyed the most out of my life.

I don't know, I played them both through about three to four times each and I think they're just different. I loved how long the first one was, even though I hated the shit out of Jackie. I liked Jackie's character more in the second one if only because he didn't seem as comatose. Plus, the Darkness talked a lot more and the combat was more involved and difficult. I really missed some of the creativity of the first one, but the replay value of the second one is far higher I think. There are some parts to Darkness I that dragged and dragged.

So yeah, I liked the first one better too, but if I wanna impale people and rip their spines out I'm gonna have to play Darkness II. I try to pretend they're the same game *SIGH

Of course, second parts of videogames are alwys more developed, the problem comes when it's... "over-developed" (read, Crysis, Crysis II), that it barely looks like a sequel. Darkness II in that is, imho, really really borderline.

But will have to try to replay it anyway!

That's true. but at least it wasn't like Bioshock. The sequel for that sucked because it was just the same game. I can respect that they took it in an entirely different direction, even if I'm not fond of it.

~Darkness II is wicked fun when it comes to killing everything. It's just hard enough that you don't feel like you're god-modding, so it stays fun.

The only thing that threw me was how the darkness heads acted. They interacted enough that I had my doubts.

yeah not to mention when Mike patton's voice goes into action it does help with the thought of being 2 creatures.

Mike Patton nailed the voice perfectly for the darkness. It was always a treat to listen to it talk to you inside your head.

I love when it says "It deceives you" I was like OOOO What's the Darkness know?
I like to listen to the cutscenes just to hear it talk. It's laugh is beautiful D: If they ever switch voice actors I hope they know the game won't sell.

No doubt, only Mike Patton could do that voice with no other audio effects over his voice. They get someone else, it will be covered in synthesizing effects all over the place hehe.

I enjoyed both games, I can't really say which one is my favorite, and the asylum parts of the second one was my favorite parts, I guess I just enjoy madness, even though I feel sorry for it's victims - not to mention the music in the asylum was so chilling!

OMG Don't even get me started on how much I love these games XD All my favorite books ever deal with madness, because reasons D: Ever read comic 0 for the Darkness? If you like the games I'm sure you unlocked it in the first one. I love those last few panels, I had to buy that shit in RL.

My favorite part in the second game is when he busts into the diner through the alley and it looks like Jenny is there and then she vanishes and the darkness mocks you about it and Jackie says, "Leave me alone." And the Darkness laughs and says, "But you are alone, Jackie." LIKE. HOLY SHIT.

I am not sure, haven't played the first game in a long time, but it sounds familiar I do want my hands on the Darkness comics though. I wonder if they'll make another game.
