Finally got around to posting this girl up. This is Io, an Inari kitsune (or a myobu/myoubu fox), a guardian spirit. Made this about a year ago, but never got a hold of the camera until now.
This is one of my best ceramic pieces yet, in my opinion. The ivy pot is pretty close though.
I plan on making the black fox counterpart to this one (stormrider the nogitsune) this year when I take the class again.
Ah, and it says "Celestial (as in heavenly) Fox" on her back in japanese kanji. Got it from a dictionary (yes, an actual BOOK)
