Finally…Ew.
The main-picture i uploaded some time ago as a separate submission was originally drawn for this refsheet - but i didn't finished it till today.
Now I feature it 3 times in my gallery. Haha…But it's the most accurate drawing i have done of her till yet.
So. Now I even have a Refsheet for EF.
And finally i can show you how the mouth parts work *slurp*

Ah! This reminds me of her drooling. i forget to mention that. Thank you for the reminder.
But yes. Her proboscis is wet and she eats like a fly -> spitting the fluid on the food and then suck it up. Sometimes she can't hold herself and puts her whole face in a cake. because she has no manners and fuck yeah cake.

Maybe she has, whatsitcalled, like the inverse "pupil" preying mantises have - which is really just that the tiny eyes in that particular segment are aligned to you and all the others aren't. But it's neat cuz it looks like their eyes are following you when really it's just new eyes aligning.
I'm understanding it as it's each segment of the whole eye reflecting back some light according to the focal point of where she's looking. Sort of like a parabola. Rather than an optical illusion like those eyes on fursuits/mascots/costumes that look like they're always looking at the viewer. That way if she's ever in a picture with another character, she can be shown to be looking at them rather than appearing to be watching the viewer.
15cm?! Damn, that is one big bug. Time to get out the FLAK-cannon. XD
Seriously though, quite a nice reference sheet there, and that from someone who's not that big of a fan for crawly stuff. :)

I dunno if you've seen much of Damien Hirst's art, but he had a showing here at the Boston Museum of Fine Art and one of his pieces was a 7ft x 7ft wallhanging that was 7" inch thick with dead flies, edge to edge.
It was incredibly startling. I'm so used to seeing flies in isolation as small individual things, but that many together combine perceptually into this black mass of stuff that was really quite overwhelming to stand in front of. Also, the one or two flies you see buzzing about don't give off much of a scent, but that many flies together produces a distinct odor. I knew what "Fly" actually smells like and it filled the gallery, you could smell it from several rooms away. It was not pleasant, either.
A really powerful piece. I felt bad for all those dead flies, I couldn't comprehend how many it was. Hundreds of thousands? A million? It left me feeling queasy and dizzy :O

...Okay. I don't know HOW you did it. And you've gotten a few comments like this already, but it's so striking, I gotta say it too. This is THE first time I've ever seen a non-cutesy insectoid character with reasonably realistic insect anatomy that has made me both think and say "D'aww..cute!"
I'm used to going "Ewuggghhh! D:" at the thought of ever coming across an anthro insect.. But seeing Rotarr would have me trying to overcome my mild phobia of insects.

I like the way you desined her. It's like an actual fly given some human genetics. Seems as though you've studied this species. My black widow design looks similar to yours but I took the fantasy approach that is less realistic as I haven't read about them.
So she can talk with her mouth closed (or is it called a mouth)? It looks like that tongue looking part is her mouth (oh, the proboscis).

wow this was actually one cool character, this is probably not her intended design or perpous at all but in like an animated movie, i could tottaly see her as a member of like a slum gang, but she retains a very happy good go attitude, and peaceful one that pisses of the higher ups in the gang, but gives the ordinary members of hope that there is still good in the world.
Kind of like the groups own little treasure which they all love and protect, cuse she is the only link to themselves feeling like worthy good people anymore.
And wow that spark of creativity hit from no where lol, sorry didn't mean to impose.

Gotta say this is about one of the most original characters I've seen on FA. Like I've only seen one fursona of my character species, I've only now seen one of yours :P
As said, really interesting character. A bit curious over some certain anatomy, but that will likely not come up, well, for now at least hehe.
