Don't take this seriously. It's something I wrote for my senior english class. It's a modest proposal. Not meant to be taken seriously in the first place.

As Villains Burn: a Modest Proposal

I have a problem with the criminal system of today. Now, I think nothing of the execution system in the confinement houses known as "jails" or "the slammer." It is too easy on the criminals! I propose we do something to aid execution. We must go to a new leve. Today, jails are overcrowded with the mentally troubled and the perverted, lonely individuals.
Every day a new "inmate" is delivered to these open insane asylums. Thus, fights, murders, and rapes happen in a confined place where people think these "inmates" are there for the better. Once, these poor souls enter this house of madness they become the victims of themselves.
I suggest that we must put these poor souls out of their misery. I care not of the expense of execution, so I propose we send these souls on a one-way trip to the sun. I know this may sound harsh, but think of this as an enormous barbecue that no one wants to attend. It may seem harsh, but it's no skin off my bones. Many of my friends have approved of this idea, even those who I don't know approve of this. I'm sure that this will soon be approve, as I go by my own saying, "you got to keep pushing if you're going to the the fat man out of the way."
I have found those who would argue with me about what I'm suggesting here, so I'll tell you what I told them. This idea allows scientific tests with room for experimenting the effects of close sun exposure. The prisons can be transferred into warehouses or malls. If we get a lucky dead man that survives the "sun trip," then just maybe we'll give him a chance for living, but if he misbehaves we'll send him back to the sun and see if he survives this time. Other than that, screw the second chance idea.
This will not benefit me in anyway, because I may end up in the confinement house myself. Do not blame me for this proposal, for it is not my fault I wrote... on second thought, I should be blamed. I forgot that since I'm an Angel of Death, I was trained by Baal, one of the five devils, to think like that. So know now, that my soul burns darker and deeper than Hell itself, but at least the temperature's great there. I hope this idea is accepted in this world of ruination, as for the other criminal punishment idea, who cares?!
