Kind of sad isn't it? Luckly, I've managed to steer clear of most of it.
People in the MLP community have been working their butts off trying to keep the sexualization of the show out of the spotlight. It's pretty bad when I can trace almost any MLP porn back to an artist's FA account.

Well, you had this society of all female ponies. And these female ponies had babies. Then you found out there were these six boy ponies that only came home once in a while. And then the girl ponies would get all excited. Then the girl ponies would go off with the boy ponies to do some off-screen stuff. After which the boy ponies would go away again. What were we supposed to think?
Uh... I don't agree with this at all. Sorry. I used to watch the old MLP and I can honestly say I never had any "sexy imaginings" about them at all. It's not the person, it's the near constant deluge of porn that other people have put up everywhere on the internet that's causing it.
But how old were you when you watched it? I was about 23 years old in the mid 80's when first watching MLP. Old enough to be watching it with an adult mind. I guarantee you it's not small children creating all this risqué fan fiction and art. It's teen-agers and young adults who can't help finding sexual curiosity in just about anything, or even older people who never grew out of that tendency.
These days I pretty much ignore the pony porn on the internet. Most people who don't care to think of ponies that way do. It's only people who want to see it who are deluged by it, because they don't turn the filter on. You have to ask yourself the hard question any time you are deluged by anything on the internet. Why did you go looking for it in the first place?

ANYWAY! I found a good way to not ruin the show, and I think PC could try it out ^^
just concentrate on the show while its on! have you seen horse cock on the show? of course not! because its a show about ponies and friendship and magic and innocent cool stuff ^w^ just immerse yourself for the +20 minutes, leaving behind any thoughts that have come from online or porn in general.

PussyCat has gone through adolescence and is an adult now. She's entitled to her adult fantasies. As an adult (& maybe as a cartooner) she can analyze & deconstruct the stories and characters, and re-imagine the situations and characters as adults. She has many choices for what she does with her fantasies.

It felt like the early-adopters were treating the characters and stories with relative respect, in what they were willing to comment on or be ironic about in cartoons & images.
After two years, it's possible that the cartooners/furries who are starting to use the MLP forms in a Rule 34 way, Just Do Not Get It.... For some of them, it may be just another way of getting attention or selling art.

Since I can't eat them or dominate them, I don't feel interested in ponies. Since they don't have specific kinds of powers or combative tendencies, they don't work with the Ritual either. I always thought it was a show for girls, because it's been stereotyped as feminine and naive.
Maybe that answers your question, it's just guys who like those characteristics in intimacy and then some taking it a little too far.

The reason is the same reason I stopped watching it after the first few episodes. People in this fandom have corrupted the whole concept in my mind to the point where watching it, all I can see now is other people's perverse interpretations of it. kinda makes me hate the show, even thought everyone says it's a good show. Though I'm think now the only reason they thought it was good was because of the rule 34 potential.
I dunno... I find myself attracted to certain characters within the show... More so based on character type than physical appearance, but I dont see anything wrong with having attraction of even the naughty type to ponies... Each one of them is cute or even sexy in their own way.
