Check it out! This is the final pull for Mirepoix (hopefully!) Not pictured is the extended chin that makes this MUCH more comfortable. (My mold didn't come down my neck far enough, so I had to make up for it with some clay on the silicone. It was tough to cast, but I know to account for this in future molding.)

I scribbled her eyes in and added some other details for fun. Using one of my trash pulls, I tested out an internal hinge system that will totally work! totally didn't work! (It involves curved jelly bean shapes of foamed PVC. I'll document it when I've finalized it.) I am SO EXCITED to keep working on her! Update: I have since revised my mask mold. I am keeping this picture around because it documents previous techniques and ideas, and gives you an idea of how this sucker will turn out in the end.

--Materials used--
Smooth Cast 65D (This stuff. This fudging stuff. I love it. It slushes beautifully and is very strong. My only complaint is that it is difficult to color, as it naturally cures a pure white.)
Clay, colored pencils, markers, whatever. Doesn't really matter.
Mold was made with Rebound 25 and plaster bandage strips. Original sculpt was plasticine clay.
