Decided to finally do some more art and figured that I'd attempt to do the BLU Soldier from TF2, as he appears in my first fanfic, The Last Engineer. Didn't quite get the additional light armour done to satisfaction, but I'm pleased with the new rocket launcher and the image in general.

I tried to blend the TF2-like style I tried in the fic's cover art (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8257856/) with what I consider to be my normal style. Did this in two goes, one at night and one at the afternoon, not sure quite how many hours were spent on it but certainly a lot.

This was also completed with the added self-imposed challenge of trying to do Jane and all his details in one layer, whereas normally I'd separate different segments of his body and items into their own layers or keep it all on one and add details/lighting on a different layer. With the exception of the backgrounds, overall scene lighting, rain and text, this was all one layer.
