On the hunt – REPTILE (sketch)
This is the last project I'm working on during my summer holidays.
It's going to be a traditional artwork again - markers and ink on paper (30x40 cm)!
This sketch shows REPTILE CYNRIK, when he was quite a few years younger.
I wanted my new artwork to capture the scene of this old comic page:

Absolutely stunning, Patrick. I love the look, angle and feel. It gives off a very confident and purposeful vibe. The stance and your skill of musculature and shade never ceases to amaze. Though, I can not help but notice Reptile's left hand and fingers looks rather small and slightly odd to me. But other than that, I absolutely love it, dynamic and awe inspiring.
<Hello and thanks for the critique. ^_^
Anytime Patrick. It is easy to over look things when we focus on things for too long or something else occupies the mind and we're not thinking as clearly on the task at hand. I would expect nothing less than you pointing out my flaws.
Hopefully all is going well on your holidays. As for me, I've just started mine and will be headed to Ontario to visit my family for the first time in about a year or so. Take care and good luck with that left hand. :]
PS: Sorry if this message doesn't come across as constructed very well, it's 2:47am over here and running on cruise control. Time for some sleep. :P

The years of watching drawings and art work I have learned to appreciate other things that often are not evident. Beyond the athletic pose and very good anatomy, in this case, the look and attitude of the character, conveys the real sensasion that he really is stalking, watching, hunting. I would not exaggerate what I say but when I look at this, I think of the great artistic level you have and say ¡¡¡ oh my God!! The great challenge that I have to repay you the same level with what I'm doing!!

Sweeeeeeeeeeet! If there would be one thing I would change, it would be moving the loincloth strap so that it runs over the curvature of the... oh what the yahoo is it called again... AARRGH!!!
The uppermost portion of where (few centimeters up) his glutes meet his hip for maximum sexy!!!

Aw, I see what you mean. But Reptile likes to wear the cloth rather low. ^_^
After all: if I would draw the string a bit higher, his loincloth would look like a women tanga or string from the front... making him look like a female!!!! XD
I like it this way.
And I appreciate your words, anyway. Thanks!
Yes, he is sexy.....
