It may be emo, but I can relate to it a fair bit. And I know I am not the only one.
My father and me get along great, but he pretty much ignores the fact I am gay despite knowing it. He still makes comments about "when you get married" or "your wife..." and such. Really hurts, to be honest. And now your comments are emo too...darn...sorry.
