Hi Hi all
This isn't so much a recipe but more a suggestion for anyone on a budget
We've found that a bag of pizza dough is only about 2.50 in most stores, and a jar of sauce or bag of peperoni will last through several weeks pizza.
Plus half the fun is in using leftovers. I've topped mine with left over pork ribs, shredded chicken, taco meat, and even general chow chicken. It's a fun way to use left overs so they don't go to waste, A good way to stretch the food budget, or a quick last minute meal
In general an easy way to prep the dough is to pat it down on a floured surface. Punching down in the middle and working out to the edges to get rid of air bubbles.
Then gently stretch the dough out to size.
If you have a rolling pin this part may be easier but I do it by hand.
Don't worry about getting a perfectly round shape thats not important.
If it tears thats no big deal either, simply pinch the pieces together or cover over with dough from the edges.
Lightly grease a baking sheet and pre heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Now spread on the sheet and use a fork to pock mark the bottom of the shell trying to get any pesky air pockets.
bake dough for 3 minutes,
Then remove from the oven and top to your hearts content.
The pictured pizzas have Peperoni, Ham, Roast chicken, Black olives, and extra sharp cheddar cheese on top (in addition to the mozzarella) (left) Onions, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, ham, and quartered slices of pepperoni lightly spread over the pie. (right)
After it's topped bake at 400 for 20 minutes
Just remember have fun, and anything, anything at all can top a pizza
