At any rate, it turns out that it is possible to draw a samurai without automatically reverting to an anime-style. Who'da knew it?!

Now I've seen alot of this Usagi fellow here on FA, but the first time I even heard of him was through TMNT the 4Kids version. Something tells me this guy has been around long before 2005.

Well, I wasn't really going for a character that's been done before. Usagi is just the Japanese word for rabbit. This drawing has no relation to any character, and any similarities are coincidental.

The Romaji is easy:

U-S-A-G-I.

(Romaji is the official latin-alphabet transliteration of Japanese.)

Were I on my other computer, I could also provide you with the Hirigana and Katakana forms, but I can't install the Japanese Input Method Editor on my desktop for some reason.
