At some point I'm planning on DMing a Kobold-themed campaign for my friends. This is a character I'm thinking of named Altair. He's an illusionist.
I generally like to draw Kobolds as kind of this odd cross between a dog and a velociraptor. With the velociraptor traits, I took some artistic liberty and added feathers to the back of his head, mostly because I think it looks neat.

Hah! Well, admittedly in some editions of D&D (like 3.5), Kobolds do have kind of a more doglike face in terms of facial structure. I just like adding raptor elements, because I think they're cool.
The character for this guy I had in mind was a rather charismatic, chaotic trickster-type of character.
