Since this guy was announced today, I figured I'd post this old doodle I did of him around when Brawl was first announced(I drew Meta Knight later, but I'm really not happy with it anymore...But if you'd like to see it: http://enterpraiz.deviantart.com/ar.....night-34858373 it's there). I tried drawing him before this, but his, erm, beak(?) always gave me trouble. So I just said "hell with it" and did it a way I felt comfortable and happy with. I haven't even attempted drawing him since then...UNTIL TODAY.
I'd keep your eye on this guy. As expected, he's a heavyweight character, and with his dumbed-down yet still formidable Kirby mimicing abilities, he could potentially be an overpowered character by Smash Bros. standards...Theoretically, at least. Of course, Smash Bros. features a few characters who have experiance dealing with giant penguins. ^^

I was surprised meself this morning (although I shouldn't since the director of Smash was the same guy responsible for the Kirby seires), and it was a good thing I stayed up.
I say the Kirby roster is now complete.

Why? Becuase he was only a major villian in like the first one. after that he popped up just causing mischief and getting in your way or just fumbling up causing bigger problems. -never played dreamland 2- Also because they already threw in meta-knight. it should be cool but at the same time i hope he isint simply some kinda charicter cloned into a heavy wieght class ie. Capt. Falcon evolved into Gannon :D. Regardless..its gonna be sold out for a long time. And thats a good thing.
This is a surprise because despite being the Kirby series equivalent of Bowser, Sakurai had only up until Brawl included Kirby as his sole entry into the series. It not really as "surprising" as it is "nice to finally see Sakurai not being modest about his own stuff".
Though technically, Dedede IS in all the Smash Bros. games as a background element in the Kirby stages.
