Hm… did I say I wanted to show this artwork to you next week…? Guess, I couldn’t wait then. ^_^
Here it is: Reptile and Xevon on the hunt (they’re hunting pheasants, by the way)!
This artwork is somehow a “reboot” of an old comic page, which I’ve drawn back in 1997. Here is a small part of that page where you can see Reptile and Xevon hunting:
http://www.reptile-universum.de/mis.....ld-version.jpg
Yeah… and today you can watch and enjoy the new version. Kinda tough and unfair to compare it… I drew the other one when I was a young lad.
I still love it. ^_^”
This picture is dedicated to my brother Chris, because he wanted me to accept two challanges:
1) Drawing my characters looking to the RIGHT side for a change and
2) blue, hand drawn sky!
Drawing Media:
Pencils, ink, markers, acrylics and brush. NO digital media!
Size:
30x40 cm
Working time:
About 24 hours
Pose models used: myself
Model for Xevon: Dennis Quaid (from "Dragonheart")
Art and characters © Patrick Reichel 2012 aka
reptilecynrik
Steal, and Reptile’s going to shoot an arrow through your head!

I gotta love the way you colour and shade your pieces, it gives it such a nice comic-scene to it, it's like staring at a still image in a comic book! Wonderful anatomy, poses and facial work too, it makes for a nice still image, probably one of your best thus far!
Ow right, I forgot to mention this:
I really appreciate that you´re showing your process of a work of yours from the sketch, then to the inking version, and finally the coloring. Because we can see and compared them your skills in each step ^ ^ By watching those steps, I learn more of it.
Wow, you really color this very quich, but it does look that you took time to take care of the little details like the skales and textures, just thinking how skilled you are to make all those things with that time makes me wonder how more are you capable of ^ ^

You know i will never get bored of saying this. BUT THE RESULT IS AMAZING. Seriously, your traditional art excells so much. Look at the body, the background, the color! Even the freaking leaves that fly in the wind!
Dude! Seriously! Too much win for just 1 person :<!
...
Reppy's body... OuO Makes me happy.

Cheter, you use speedhack, obviously! It's impossible that you managed to colour this thing COMPLETELY in less than two days. Give me my Delorean back!
Really stunning to see this! You've never lost your touch with traditional media, is impressive, even the feel of the wind, with everything flowing the contrary way!. And didn't notice until you pointed out, really you don't tend to have too many right-looking pics... though I can think of a couple of... (naughty) ones that are facing right too :D
Lovely touch on the sky! It really came out great. Also, love the comparison with the older one! So cute xDD

You can almost feel the wind blowing in this picture! So lifelike and out of this world like always dude! I actually thought Xevon looked more like Aragon from LOTR then from DragonHeart but I guess its been a long time for me since Ive seen that movie. I do, however, think the clouds could use some touching up, though its mostly fine as it is. ^.-.^
Adding the leaves was some idea I came up with the help of some friends. I mean, I wanted to add this for more dynamics, anyway... but they reminded me again, I almost forgot it. XD
Yeah, the picture itself is very resful and so you need something, which is moving!!
Yeah, these are rather thin clouds... I used to draw very fluffy ones, but they always looked to heavy to me. ^^"
Wanted to try something new.
THANK YOU

Wow, it is amazing. And you just use pencil and other stuffs, no digital media!? I thought it was made by digital art, until I saw something different from other drawings and your comment, then I'm convinced that this epic is made by your hands. That's cool.
I sometimes see your suggestions on the Kevindragon or Echin's art. May I ask you that you are an art teacher?

Well, if you have a few days time, you can check out everything about him at my homepage:

But I've done a summery of the most important events, so people don't have to read/translate it all:

If you want, I can even write you a note about "Reptile" and some of his personal trades.

Hrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaawrr! ^___^ THANK YOU very, very much. After all, you're one of Reptile's best scaly bros, hehehe.
This artwork really took some time and effort, but it was worth it. And I also love how XEVON turned out, hehehe.
*gets closer to Unk, lets himself being touched and caressed*

By saying "buff" I'm sure you mean "handsome body"? ^^" After all, I consider "buff" to be... an exessivly muscled body!!!!! And neither REPTILE, nor HAZARD are really "buff" from my point of view. No, they are not. Not at all.
But I'm sure you're using this term as an expression of "well done muscles", huh?
In that case I agree. ^___^ But be assured, usually "buff" is used to express very overdrawn muscles!
And yepp, REPTILE just LOOKS great, hehehe... I should know, I created him. XD
Thanks for the comment!

Thanks so very much! ^_^ I'm happy you like it. Thanks for the +watch, too!
About this artwork again... the scene itself is an older one. I've more or less created a pin up from an old comic panel... but nevertheless, this is how my characters look like today... with my latest skills.
