Yeah, I knew that much. The halo just kind of stood out to me, 'cause I've always thought it was goofy-lookin' on the models.

Naw, the halo's supposed to be the actual piece of wargear.

The Rosarius is carried by all Chaplains, and can be made to look like many things, be it a portion of armour on a pauldron, shield or the chest piece, or a worn amulet, etc. It works in basically the same manner as an Iron Halo and uses the same technology, so it wouldn't be surprising if some Chaplains' Rosarius were to take on the same physical appearance. Though it serves as a badge of office it is also a powerful energy field emitter which can deflect almost any attack.

Sorry I actually know little to nothing about Warhammer. It was for a friend and I just copied a lot of the gear off of some models I found.
