Commission for lonewolfsniper44 of his bounty hunter/lovable scoundrel character, Jace Taer, getting a warm welcome home from his good friend, Anna, the Australian shepherd barmaid. The Velociraptor/Archeopteryx femme in the background is one of Anna's good friends, and she's just amused by the fact that her tough red-headed friend can have a sweet spot for a certain adorable wolfdog. Wow...wonder what song's playing in the bar. I mean, it is Star Wars...and it is a cantina...with aliens...I'll shut up now.
Done with copic markers, micron inks, derwent studio colored pencils, and white gel pen on bristol board.

That's a lot of detail going on. Usually the submissions i've come to know have quite some detail and smooth texture- while this here is just loaded with depth, design, and details of every aspect to the characters, scenery, and especially the overall base. Loving the quality too, it's superb and the uniqueness goes to the individuals with their style of clothing and realistic fleshed out features. Truly a masterpiece, I admire you so much right now for this wonderful work of art
Okay, I just need a minute to let this sink in... What a great way to wrap up the day.
Wielder, this is amazing.
The sketch was great, the inks really brought it into focus, but this... Wow.
I must say, my favorite part of this is Anna. I was curious how she'd turn out, and you did not disappoint!
The clothing choices fit her personality so damn well, and the little details like the charm on her hip and that hoop earring just sell it even more.
Forward though she may be, she's made sure he knows it's not the hopeless romantic type, but 'What the Hell took you so long?'
And having Anna's friend Cera there in the background (especially with that look!) just opens the way for even more play in the story.
The dynamic between these gals will be fun to write.
Also, the bar backdrop looks great! It almost sneeks up on ya. Bottles and glasses...then suddenly avian reptile pouring drinks. Haha.
I'm rambling again, but damnit, I can't help it. I'm chuckling to myself just imagining the dialogue I have lined up for this scene.
I should have the companion piece ready tomorrow evening, and I'm quite excited.

I love the way Anna holds up Jace but the scruff of his shirt, like "Come here, you asshole, I missed you." There's real love and character in their expressions. I adore Jace's feet and pawpads, I think they look really cute. His leg plates are also really neat to look at, along with his little accessories. What really gets me, though, is the raptor gal in the background, it's very refreshing to see a reptile, something non-canid from you. She looks amused as she listens to the other two banter.
I'm also a huge fan of the detail you put into the bar stock. It looks so warm, shiny and almost rustic. Great stuff, man B)
