A quick snapshot of what I've been up to the past week...

London 2012 was amazing. Seriously. The world questioned if we were ready, would it be as good as Beijing, etc, etc. - and we were ready. And we put on a show that the world came to see. And the world loved it. (Well, the guys I talked to loved it anyway. ;p)

Quick runthrough:
Football at Man U - would have been Brazil v. GB but we lost on penalties in the quarters. Was just like being at the World Cup: samba bands, screaming Koreans... the football was pretty slick too. XD

Racewalk - Now, I'm not one for standing in the blazing sun for four hours. So this had to be pretty impressive. And if the action wasn't the atmosphere was. :D The guys in pink shirts were from Finland and sang all the way through to cheer on the athletes. Put that together with chanting Chinese fans and singing Frenchmen, and a good day was had by all. :)

Marathon - And I thought the London Marathon was busy...
Bonus points to the Aussies on the roof who chanted whenever someone in green and gold went past. XD

Basketball - What can I say? One of, if not *the* event of the games (in terms of names taking part). We literally had seats on the back row which was fun but still had a great view of the court and for once the US had a tight game to contest which made it that much better. Definitely gonna pay attention to the b-ball a bit more after this. 8-)

So yeah. The Olympics.
