Well, this fellow certainly is handsome! I'm loving his outfit, staff and - what is that handing from his side? (the side facing the viewer) It looks to be concealing another weapon of sorts, maybe a large, but short sword?

Admittedly, I'm not too keen on the "computer-generated" surroundings you've put him in, because it just doesn't seem anywhere near as realistic as the character.
It would have been interesting to see the scenery rendered in a more painterly style, perhaps done on top of the regular ("computer-generated") background, on another layer? Then the other could be deleted..
