This is looking down on the Mt. Flume parking lot off I-93 from it's summit.
This was my first peak for a complete Pemi Loop over three days. I very nearly died in the first two hours courtesy of a pair of hornets. >:( Next time I will be sure to have an epi pen and some benydril. We started and ended in Lincoln Woods.

I blame the cute little jack russel that someone had further up the trail. He probably first stirred them up, then when Kmiec walked through (I was 10 ft behind him) he re-irritated the already on edge yellow jackets, and so I caught it all.
But yeah, I love being up in the mountains. The ridges between them are also a whole other world!!!! Once we were 'up' we never came back below 3K above sea level until we left.
