I admit it; I've got a bit of a spacesuit fetish. Dunno why! I just think toons look super-cute in 'em. Needless to say, that scene in "Out To Launch" where Gadget's floating about in her improvised latex glove spacesuit made mountains of little red cartoon hearts pop out of my head when I was a kid.
Anyway, when I realized I'd never actually tried to _draw_ anything astronautish, I put pencil to paper and gave it my best shot. The background took much more trickery to accomplish than it looks. I tried some new shadow techniques with the suit and did some interesting color fiddling on Gadget's face to make it look like she's behind glass. I'm really, really proud of the overall result. *little red cartoon hearts pop out of head*

Thanks! In the show, she definitely shows an interest in space stuff, so I thought this would be a dream come true for her.
The background was done by Googling 'space' and 'stars' until I found something suitable, then I darkened it, streatched it to the dimensions of the pic, copied the lineart, and started coloring.

Good stuff, buddy! in response to shadow-da-wolf's post above, the helmet DOES, save for the mousey ears, have a vague resemblance to Master Chief's helmet (visor, overall viewing window look, gadgetry on the outside), but the rest of the suit is very well done.
And while I can't remember that episode's plot, I do remember Gadget in her glove suit. Indeed, it was cute.

Well whadda ya know about that? Totally unintentional. I mean, I've *seen* the Halo helmet in commercials. Maybe that was where the visor idea came to me from...

Actually, you don't. It will frustrate you terribly. See, Disney (in a typical display of outright contempt for their fans) didn't bother to put all the remaining episodes on set 2! In fact, there's less episodes on it than the first set!
If that's not enough to piss you off, they outright lie right on the cover. They say "includes 24 laugh-packed episodes" and "includes bonus 5-episode pilot". You guessed it; they include the 'bonus' pilot in that 24 episode count! Lyin' assholes!!
Screw 'em; download the torrent instead.
