Actually, the rules dictated we quit interacting with them as soon as they started to get dangerous, but that didn't stop a couple people from losing body parts. The stupid ones always ruin it for everyone.

It's pretty damn amazing the jaw pressure they have when just a few days old though. At 3-4 weeks I'm pretty sure they could take a finger off if they really wanted to. Still, I doubt I will ever work with a more interesting animal. It may sound kinda mushy, but due to my experiences there, hyenas will always have a place in my heart.

Probably because very few people ever get the chance to see them. I was lucky enough to go as far as playing with them as part of my job.

I've been wanting a close up with a hyena for a very long time, especially the more mellow males. The females are quite a curiosity of nature, though.
