Pet lineart portrait: Waneska
Waneska is a beautiful German Shepherd owned by
kcravenyote! She said she adores chewing on rawhide bones, so here she is enjoying a big rawhide! :D
I added a background to this piece so I re-uploaded it, the other version can be found in my scraps. :3
I do commissions for lineart Pet Portraits like this! A pet portrait is $50 for up to two pets in one image, contact me if you are interested!

this is precious, why just lineart though?
and a small critique, it doesn't look like she's chewing as much as she is smiling with a rawhide bone shoved in her mouth. perhaps drape the upper lip over the bone more next time or open the jaw wider, it just looks a little dopey and placed at the last minute.

Re: Lineart because that was what is I offered for the commission price. Something colored would be more to commission, and I am only offering lineart at this time. Its something I believe I excel in moreso than colored works. So that is why it is lineart.
Thank you for taking the time to critique, the smile is intentionally included in the image since it is a caricature of the pet and not intended as realism. I wanted to work in the smile more than the fact she was actively chewing the rawhide. I have a separate sketch of this with the jowl draped over the bone, and it does not emphasize the smile as much. I went with the more "smiley" look since it made me smile more than the accuracy of a wider-open mouth. Sometimes with caricatures those sorts of tradeoffs have to be made, but certainly nothing was "last minute" I assure you.
