You lost me at the last panel. (As in, confused.)

I think the implication is that they're both hybrids- that would explain the lioness's and snake's uncharacteristic horns. But if that's all there is to it, it's kind of a stretch for the lioness to think they're related based on those grounds alone. There may be something lost in translation in the third panel, where the snake says "Or even our parents." If that's the case, he's probably meant to say something closer to the likes of "Even in Mom and Dad," because the use of those pronouns in the context of the situation would imply they have the same mother and father.
