One of the older, unfinished sketches I found while going through my Photobucket account recently was of Maisy wearing a maid costume patterned after her normal battle-suit, which gave me an idea for the on-again, off-again comic idea I have for her, so I decided to do a more complete design of it.
See, this actually ISN'T "Maisy"; it's the same robot, yes, but her name is actually Zeta, and she was the favorite sex-toy of the world-reknowned roboticist, Dr. Go, inventer of the legendary robot defender, Valkyrie Zoe. Shortly before Zoe's disappearance during her final battle against both alien invaders and Earth-born daikaiju, Dr. Go made some unidentified modifications to Zeta and stored a massive amount of information in a partitioned-off section of her cyberbrain, then sealed her in his private underground lab.
20 or so years later, when his niece, Deanna Steelhaven, is having his property excavated in order to build a museum to the late scientist and his creations, they find the lab and Zeta, still functioning, barely, having spent the past two decades patiently if irritatedly waiting for Dr. Go (her first words upon seeing the startled construction workers are, "Hey, any of you guys seen a mad scientist? Short, Asian, has a thing for spewing man-chowder on little girls' faces..?"). Needless to say, Deanna is decidedly less than thrilled about this skeleton in her illustrious family member's closet being unearthed, especially since her and her company's success is based entirely on his legendary reputation; imagine if, decades after his death, someone found that Einstein had a secret stash of child porn, or that Edison's pet dog was trained to pee on his face whenever he wore women's clothing, and you get the an idea of the level of horror she felt.
Of course, she can't very well dismantle Zeta outright since there's still the matter of what was stored inside her brain and the mysterious device labeled "Matter Alteration Interface System-Experimental" (or "MAIS-E") that Dr. Go installed in her before his death...
