Aye... interesting :) Good way to move characters around and still play in their parts too.

What I'm having an issue is that it's the first time Scot and Jean met right? Cause it's hard to tell if it's the first time they meet, or that they have met before/relations before. Maybe it's also due to the fact I read the comic, so I make my own assumptions as I read.

Aside from that, I like where this story is going.

Yeah, it may help a bit. I'm not sure how many other readers are making assumptions due to the fact that they are fans of the original comics, but I do, at least when filling some 'holes' in the story. I just assume those parts with parts of the comic, which can make things confusing.

But, I do like where you are taking the story with them. It's a nice different story line for them, you seem to be making the situation more 'real'. Instead of all the epic combat and such, you are focusing on their personality, reaction and connections and such. Gives it a more real feel to the story.

yes, being more "real" is sort of the goal with this story. In this world they aren't 'heroes', they don't have 'epic' adventures all they want is to live their lives and make they world a better place in some fashion.

that's not to say their lives will be all nice and peaceful :)
