The better preview of Jigglypuff's deal. This time, I gave away what the name of the Marill is: Maurice.
Some time before Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but after Super Smash Bros. Melee…
“Jigglypuff, are you sure your not going to get picked for Super Smash Bros. Brawl?” A Marill with a crown on asked Jigglypuff.
“Ptth! Of course I won’t. I got my tail kicked, no pun intended mind you, in the original and I sucked even worse in Melee!” Jigglypuff said to the Marill, “It would only make sense I wouldn’t get picked a third time, Morice.” Jigglypuff said.
“I suppose your right, Jigs. And that’s PRINCE Morice may I remind…ah what the hell am I saying?” Morice asked, “We’ve been Boyfriend and Girlfriend for so long, I think it’s about time we revealed it to my parents about now…” Morice said when suddenly, a messenger Pidove came down from above and handed a letter to Jigglypuff.
“Letter from the Smash Bros. Company.” The Pidove said before flying off. Jigglypuff opened and, well, she was quite surprised that it was an invitation.
“Ugh…so much for the 3rd time being the charm…” Jigglypuff said, “I was hoping that we’d get to spend a lot more time together this time…” Jigglypuff finished.
“Yeah, this sucks. But, Jigglypuff?” Morice asked.
“Yes Morice?” Jigglypuff responded.
“Can you promise me to make it to the top for at least one week? I would LOVE to go to that mansion one day…” Morice asked. Jigglypuff knew that this would be a promise she better keep if she chose to take it.
“Sure. Anything for you Morice.” Jigglypuff said. Little did she know at the time, she would have to become evil in order to do so.
Many weeks later…
Jigglypuff was about to give up; she had tried desperately to get to the top for a week, and with just a month’s left to do so, she wasn’t going to anytime soon with the way things were going right now for her…
Every time Jigglypuff challenged one of the others to a brawl, they would just say “That’s rich” or “Your too weak to challenge me” and every time she tried to convince Pikachu, Pokémon Trainer, or Lucario, they would either bring in the wrong Marill, or bring someone else! And what made matters worse, she tried to convince Pokémon Trainer last week, and he said he was tired of her always rejecting whom he brought.
Jigglypuff sighed as she started packing her things. She couldn’t keep her promise to her Marill boyfriend after all. And while she would usually never give up, this is the time to give up and accept failure. She decided to take a break and go to the Villain’s lounge. Jigglypuff, being natural in the whole mess of things for she had no enemies or allies, hang out with either group. She wanted to be with the villains today, so she could try to get Lucario, but he’d probably give her the same response Pokémon Trainer did. She sighed. She was forever doomed to not fulfill her promise to her Marill Boyfriend. However, as soon as she was in the lounge, she felt the ground shaking. She deduced it to only one possible thing, or person in this case…
“Bowser! Boy, he must have lost to Mario again ‘cause he is NOT happy! At all! Better hide!” Jigglypuff said, and hid quickly. Just as she did so, Bowser came barging in, and quite literally.
“Curse that Mario!” Bowser said, “Why does he always have to win?” Bowser asked no one in particular. However, he did not know that Jigglypuff was hiding under his chair; the Balloon Pokémon having deflated herself, to make her look so thin, that even Bowser wouldn’t be able to tell her apart from the rug. “If I could just find someone, someone, just someone, who could defeat Mario, then I’d happily give them anything they wanted.” Bowser said when he sat down in his chair. Jigglypuff then gave an evil grin. Anything she wanted huh? She thought to herself. Would that include training me to get to the top spot this week? She pondered. She had the most evil idea she’s ever had in AGES! She would take this opportunity to strike a deal with Bowser IF she can defeat Mario. When Bowser went to go to the men’s restroom, Jigglypuff snuck out of the villain’s lounge.
Her plan was this: Send a fake challenge letter to Mario, and send a letter signed by an anonyms sender to Bowser. Both were to go to Dalfino Plaza, not only one of the places of Bowser’s past defeats, but also the soon to be site of Mario’s first defeat
