Allistor looks wonderful. I absolutely love the idea of him being stuck like this, actually. I might have to commission another picture of him. :P

This drawing inspires a mood in which the operator of a giant vessel immobilized at the vessel's controls, unable to get up but able to move the ship in whatever direction he wants while commanding a team of workers.
Perhaps the captain sends the crew out to explore once they hit land, and a webcam is hung before the captain to observe what the crew finds while also allowing him to stay in touch with the crew from afar.
In spite of his immobility, the captain can still be useful for expeditions by possessing knowledge that the crew lacks, such as how to translate ancient texts or identify poisonous plants.
