I Will [Radiohead cover, a cappella] (2007)
I decided to kill two birds with one stone this month (no! not literally, that'd be horrible!) with my new musical submission. I'd been wanting to cover a Radiohead song for a while, and the haunting ''I Will'' (from 2003's "Hail To The Thief") was right near the top of the list of candidates. I'd also been toying with the idea of having a go at an a cappella recording, and in the past couple of days it occurred to me that ''I Will'' might be a good song on which to try that out. I'm still trying to get the hang of recording with the 8-track, so simpler submissions, such as this, might be the order of business around here for a while. Still, I really like how this came out, aside from the fact that I could've done a better job ending certain words/lines in unison (most noticeably on the line that ends with the phrase 'sitting ducks'). I ended up adding in an extra vocal part that's not in the original version of the song, because I thought it was sounding a little bit emptier than it should.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it!

Thanks so much! Yeah, another Radiohead song is a definite possibility. I'm starting to work on some music with my buddy 
sedge , and he's also a Radiohead fan, so I wouldn't be surprised if the two of us put something together at some point. "Fake Plastic Trees" is one that keeps popping up in my head as a possible candidate, but it's too early to make any promises.

Wow. Very impressive voice work there! I think you've really outdone yourself in that area (and with none of that occasionally abnoxious & nasily Thom Yorke "N'glah" either! :P) I've always thought that doing covers was a great way to build up those chops and expand your range. I hope you try another in the futrure!
Thanks! I assume you're talking about the part at around :52 ("...with white elephants, sitting ducks..."). There's really nothing tricky about how anything was done, it's just multiple vocal tracks. Up until that part, you're hearing three vocal tracks, and then a fourth one comes in on that line. I wanted that part to kind of swell up, so I just sang louder there on all tracks. That's pretty much it! :)

Hey, I'll take a +fav any way I can get it-- late, early, right on time... it's all the same to me! ^_^ Anyway, it's nice to know that the singers' group sent a little traffic my way. Thank you very much for the kind comment. And I fully agree with you on the "brilliant album by a legendary band". It's a rare album that gains power every time you listen to it, even years after its release.
