Fursuit Concept: 'Mac'
Well, here he is--this is the reference art for my very first fursuit! His name is Mac, and his colors and markings are based on the diesel freight locomotives on the CSX railroad. :3 NOTE: Mac is not just a fursuit--he will be replacing Silver as my main fursona. His yellow muzzle and tail tip represent the yellow nose and end on a CSX locomotive, and the lightning bolts on his cheeks mimic those found on the 'cheeks' (cab sides) of CSX AC traction equipped locomotives. Additionally, he'll have a bright red flashing LED at the base of his tail (opposite side from the tip, near rump) that imitates the 'F.R.E.D', or Flashing Rear End Device, on the last car of the train! (The LED unit will be on a strap and removable, just like a real FRED is removable from a train car.)
I have made my decision! Mac will be made by
sparkycando! He will be with me in time for Megaplex 12: Rockin' at the Hop! which is the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in July 2013, as well as the bowling outing on Thursday, so look for me there! :D

I considered just getting a partial, but I didn't want to have to deal with waiting for the same suit builder to open again if I needed the body in a pinch, or having to go to someone else and risk having the fur colors not match. D: I will most likely be wearing Mac as a partial during this time of year...simply way too hot outside to wear a fullsuit. x.x
I think our views on suiting mesh a lot. c: Part of the reason for me is also just to make people smile, especially the younger kids. After seeing how the public reacts to Fenris, I can only imagine how much they'd love to meet Mac. It just gives you that almost stereotypical 'warm fuzzy feeling' inside.
Yeah, and it helps with me since I REALLY love children and am very motherly. When I dressed up as a teddy bear last year for Christmas every weekend, all the children loved me. Some danced and talked, some even wanted to take me home. X3 It was the most adorable experience ever. I also got to take Santa's spot in his chair and take pics with kids on my lap. The fact i'm short made it difficult though. D:
Wow! Beautiful! Does he get 'Locomotive Breath' when he wakes up? :D Sorry, couldn't resist the Jethro Tull reference! Seriously, that is an awesome ref! I'd love to get a big hug from such an adorable wolf! I have to admit, though, I'll really miss Silver! Will you be getting a separate FA for Mac or just replace Silver? By the way, I really love the whole fursuit thing in general, and I would love to meet some fursuiters!
Basically, I felt for the longest time that Silver's name and colors were far too generic and unoriginal...I have met several furs whose 'sonas are blue wolves with the word 'silver' or even 'silverwolf' in them. I just needed a real kick in the arse to get my creative gears meshing...and seeing a CSX SD70MAC up close, running at track speed, was just that kick in the ass! And what a kick, too!!
Well, nobody can call Mac unoriginal! I can totally understand wanting to be different! After all, I kind of accidentally invented a new species of tiger, just cause I didn't want to feel like I was ripping off someone else's idea.... Anyway, inspiration comes in the strangest ways. Though I think a locomotive to the ass would be a bit painful! ;D That would be quite a 'kick!'
Here's part of my inspiration, filmed at this year's RailWatch.
