I'm a huge Phantom fan, how could I not like Love Never Dies?

probably Because its based on probably one of the biggest insults to phantom of the opera (phantom of manhatten). Dont get me wrong though I like Love Never Dies as well but probably not for the same reason you do

It's a part of the Phantom f the Opera. A part of the real story line. And the music and story are beautiful. Who cares what it's based on.

Trust me it matters because the musical still has some major issues since many of the characters are almost nothing as they were before. So I try to think of it more as a satire. You can say I like it pretty much on the same level as moulin rouge. Both musicals are very pretentious yet there always seems to be something that just overpowers something else making it a joy to watch. I just like Love Never Dies a bit more since it has the musical style and even the pacing of a real opera. I think I would consider LND an opera.

but as I said, I still love this musical
