This is a new remaster since I've been taking some tips from my Brother with the whole HDTV canvas. The "letterbox" look has been removed for a new HDTV full frame look.
This is a colaboration with my Brother. This is his idea of a Secret of NIMH sequel. That Timmy to the Rescue sequel was just a travesty. He also is a fan of Ken Singshow's Unofficial Sequel to Secret of NIHM which can be found on the web.
Here Timothy is defending his Mother against his sibligs (Teresa, Cynthia, & Martin) which the NIMH DNA mutagen has reawaken very terrible powers. Mrs. Brisby is in constant attack by their psychic force! Some other force is making his siblings act violently without being aware of what they're doing. For now only Timothy is in control as he tries to save his Mother and hopefully bring his siblings to their senses.
My Brother did the initial background. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ke-.....kunane-o-seer/ I'm amazed of how he did it. That cel drawn drape doorway really made it look official.

This is AWESOME
Being a hardcore fan to The Secret of NIMH, I'm very impressed with this...
Timmy to the Rescue was horrible... Why oh why did that ever get green lighted was beyond me...
Something more along the lines of the Jane Leslie Conly book sequels is what I expected, but nooooo...
Anyways, I commend you and your brother for a great piece of work! any more like this?

Thank you very much! Yep, Timmy to the Rescue... about a few minutes in and Timmy started "singing" and start to grow up I just stopped the movie and took a rest before torturing myself again. Come to think of it, I think I had a VHS version, and I do recall the VCR actaully ejected the tape forcifully than normal.
Well, I do hope to upload another remastered version of Children of NIMH The Dragon Slayer. As for me and my brother to continue Children of the NIMH, I'll see what he has in mind.

Lucky you. I saw it through even though I felt tortured. Not a fan. It provided an interesting base for a time skip for fanfic authors and fan artists, but for the most part, I was so unenthused that I skipped over every song. I wish Don Bluth had done the second one. It would have been much better with him directing.
I love The Secret of NIMH, and I'm glad that artists like you are doing something with it.

Poor auntie Elizabeth!
She had been much sorrow since ther NIMH experience
Here started my story http://leandrovalhalla.deviantart.c.....t-Leo-49799427
This picture is from me on DA. I met your artwork there.
I'm as character Elizabeth Brisby nephew. when she found me I was sick and wound. and you met the Timothy story
Would also I guilty by her sorrow?.
I like the background! It's like the original movie!

First off, I love the picture overall, it's quite well done despite what I'm about to say about a second movie that's "More like this"
To be honest, I just don't think I'd have liked a second film if they just started putting magic powers all over it, There was none in the books and, at least to me, there was reasons for it in the movie. First was it helped the story telling element, all the early parts with Nicodemus in shadow watching over Mrs. Brisby helped the narrative quite a bit.
Second it was there to give the film more flair. Remember this was Don Bluth's first film after leaving Disney, where there movies where looking rather drab both in story and visually. He was outspoken about this and it was in his interest to make sure that this film showed exactly what he was meaning on both accounts. The story already had it just from the source material so that was covered. The magic elements certainly helped the movie helped not only make some great moments in the movie (Brisby with the stone), but also made more mundane things look better. Would you rather have scrolling text or the shot that opened the movie with the writing about Johnathan's death? How about a simple cut to the flash back of NIHM or the glowing spinning thing that shows that Brisby is not only hearing the back story, but seeing it too. Is it a bit out of place in a way, yes... but in the end it just made for a better film.
The third is there was clearly an effort by the writers to make Brisby even more a hero then she was in the book. Starting the film with her almost failing to simply bring Timmy's medicine home and countering it to the things she does though out the rest of the film shows the groth she has during the film. I think it was a spot of brilliance that for the film they made Brisby not only be the one that moves her house (the rats do it without a problem in the book) but save is from sinking in mud to save her family. It's just one of many things that are just different when you tell a story in a book to telling it on film. Basicly what I mean is in the stone they took an element that they added as a story telling help and used it to help it have a much more cinematic ending.
Now, this isn't saying they made anything better with the NIMH 2 to they did make. To me it was mostly made because the ones with the rights looked at The Land Before Time sequels and hoped they could do the same thing, not realizing that LBT gets by mostly because kids like Dinosaurs, but as much as I guess these movies make money, I bet the first made a hell of a lot more by being compelling to a lot more then the under 6 crowd.
Now mind you I will give the writer of the story your talking about props that it's a hell of a lot better thought out then the second movie. The thing about fan fiction as I see it is it's a personal thing, if I was to make a NIMH 2 story I'd try for something more along the lines of the second book and have Timmy work is way up in a similar manor like Mrs Brisby did in the first (But I won't because, well, I know me and I know I'd never finish :P) But in the end, I'd work up more for the "intelligent rodents in a man's world" element. Is this story bad because it don't go as I would do it? Nope, just different. At least least it has more effort then the ones that made the second movie :) (hell, I put more effort in typing this out then they did for that movie),
