I clearly saw 'banished' in the preview image, but here I definitely see "basished".

If edit-in-post is a thing you might try nudging the left worm a bit closer to the right one and merging the shadow the way it is on the left. Plus, if the word 'Banished' is visible typed anywhere nearby it should be easy for the viewer's brain to transmogrify this into 'Banished'.

Very cool idea, and I really like how the image appears to actually have character interaction, rather than just some characeters conveniently arranged into the letters separate from each other.

Oh, I see what I'm doing. My brain wants the lone spear to be part of the N, but the worm is the whole N, isn't it? That makes more sense. It still looks a little basishedy but I can see Banished now.

I'm pretty sure the close proximity to the other large shape, the S, is making the N look a lot more like an S than it really does. When I block out the parts of the image that aren't N it's pretty obvious that it's an N. >_<

I get what you're saying. I did not adequately convey the letters using silhouettes. Thanks for the links reminding me what letters look like. I am attempting to make some digital adjustments that will hopefully make the title clearer.

I remember stumbling upon this comic years ago and liking the unfortunate main character, believe I have to pick it up again.
