I think it's because my favourite artists on this site are so good at playing with concrete and exaggerated forms. My brain is so inexperienced and needs hardcore references for even the simplest of drawings while they're setting their sketchbooks aflame with impassioned linearts. Le sigh. :P

The three art conventions I've been to (SIGGRAPH, IlluXCon, and Anthrocon) taught me that the artists whose work I admire the most normally live lives of humility and grace. I'm thankful someone seems to feel the same way about me, although part of me doesn't like that I'm essentially broadcasting a nice thing I've done.

I was thinking about how I'd handle commissions the other day and I was thinking about what you've been doing. You really do glorify your clients characters, making them cool through your own singular style. And now you've now done it for some random younger dude's character and he's likely going to be blown away and inspired. I can't even express how that amuses me, lol.
