The First Game

(Befor reading any further. forget everything you know as an adult, and go back to a time when your imagination was endless and full of possabilites. unhinderd by any bounderis that adults seem to build when they realise that such things as elves, dragons and magic dosent excist. return to a time when magic and fantasy was real)

what you see here is the FIRST game we ever invented. back befor i had a video game console (befor i even knew what a sega genesis or a super nintendo was) befor i ever Heard of Dungeons and dragons. what you see here is the prodcut of a 10 year old boy who did not have any limitations or restriction. all he had was a pencal paper and three friends who were board and wanted to play a game. so. i took everything i saw in my mind. stuff i had saw on tv and started our first game together.

all that was required was to draw little pictures and a short description of what each item and power was. we didnt have any concept of race or class. we jsut did whatever we wanted. however iv added two classes and a race for this character sense he was based on myself and thats how we played back then.

the following is a slightly more detailed description of everything on this sheet.

Eldarling, Just like humans only they lived Long befor Adam and Eve (this was befor i learned About evolution and took to sci-fi) and taught the elves magic. immortal to the point they can survive most terminal wounds but die if their hearts were cut out and their heads choped off and their bodies burned, ONLY then dose an eldarling truely die.

weapons

The Black sword. a sword made from the horn of Satan. dont ask how he got it. can cut throught anything .

Staff of Ages. allowed me to cast any magic i knew three times in one move.

Orb of Magi. a daimond the size of a baseball painstakeingly cut into a perfect sphear. can attack from a distance useing telekenisis.

Armor

Crystal Crown. this crown looks like 5 crystals arranged in a dragons claw , it protects the wearers head and neck with small chainlink rivits and protects teh wearers Mind from psionic attacks.

Robe of Scales. Simply a robe made from an Ancent dragons scales. very hard and enchanted to be lighter than it appears.

Gauntlet of Kings. this gauntlet allows the wearer to weild any Legendary weapon ever forged. (Ex-calibur, Iorn Grips sword, Morjnir, Odins spear and so on )

Boots of Flight. allowed me to fly like an angle.

Items

Ring of Necromancy. control undead and uses undead spells.

Ring of Summons. Summon any item or monster to the wearer.

Ring of Elements. protects agenst elemental attacks.

Ring of Illusions. creats illisions and charms.

Ring of Demons. Take over the minds of Demons and Banish them back to hell.

EverLasting Potion . a speacal vail of water that can turn into any type of potion needed. refills after use.

POWERS

Magic Orb. simply a baseball sized orb of elemental energy that flies out tword a person like a bullet from a gun.

Sorcerer's Sword. creat a Blazeing Beam of light that blinds anyone attacking me.

Resist. forms a powerfully dense sheild around me to resist status effects .

Running Flame. Imagin a flame so hot so tightly condensed it burns the air around it. now imagin that flame speeding across the ground so fast that it literly cuts anything in its path in half.

Lightning Burst. 4 orbs circle around the target shocking it continuousely everytime they try to cast a spell.

Enchant weapon. make it sharper, heavier, energy type or simplay attack on its own.

Poison Claw. nails turn black with an acidic fungus, scratch your opponent at close range and whatch them die slowly from the infection.

Gaze. multipurose eye attack. (stun,freeze, death, suggestions and so on)

Illusion Knife . send out a small storm of illisionary knives to attack target. only one knife is real and it deal posionous ice damage.

Demons Smile. Summon a demons face to cause fear in other.

Demon Claw. summons an invisable claw that cuts with red energy.

Portal. move between realms of any distance.

Fly. same as the boots but this one can be cast on allies.

Energy Burst . choose an element and then KAMAHAMEHA !

Transform. turn a person or self into anything you want them to be.

Heart Attack. Literly induces a persons heart to fail.

Black Storm. BIG BALL OF DARKNESS swirling around and around grabbing people and draw them into the center . then BIG BOLT of black lightnign electricuts them.

StarLight. Heals, cures, and Protects.

hand of Darkness. creat a huge Black cloud in the shape of my hand that moved across the land. putting everyone into a deep sleep and then attack them with their worst nightmares. nightmares so real. they would die in their sleep. (used agenst an army one of my friends summoned out of frustration)

Scorchign Spear. multiuse. summon a burning spear of flame so hot it could melt daimond (remimber. childs imagination) can be used as a melee weapon. or thrown. can summon up to 5 spears at a time and they all home in on target. combine all 5 spears into one and you get a Nukliar explosion.



Now you may be asking. How did we play this game ? simple. we walked around whoevers nabourhood we were in and attacked imaginary monsters or battled each other until someone won. there were no rules. no dice. no hp or mp or STATS. we were jsut 9-10 year olds playing around with pencals, paper and our imaginations.

(in retrospect . as i grew up i was amazed to discover that half the spells i made up for myself were accualy being used in REAL games like Magic the gathering, DND and video games. there were also a few shows (mostly anima) that had stuff in them that resembled what i had imagined. and while i was extatic to see these things accualy concived in some form of media. they never quite matched what was in my head at the time. and they never seemed as Powerful or as effective (Black sword was never concived tho. still waiting to be dissapointed)

anyways. this was a fun side project to do. reminisening of a time long ago when stats and rules didnt matter. and beign a kid was accualy a good thing. anyone can do this and i kinda encourage anyone who wants to be a kid again to jsut sit down. write your name on the top and start drawing up your own powers.
