Charming colourful Charro bean recipe from the kitchens of

My dad really loves how I cook these beans so I thought I might as well show you guys how I do it.
I forgot to mention that I do this always with low fire, I just like it better because of the multitasking and it find it special for this.

Charro Beans
Ingredients
1lt Charro beans
As much bacon as you want
1 chorizo
1 tomato
1 onion
1 serano pepper
3 cloves of garlic
Parsley
Method
Slice chorizo thickly, add bacon and fry them
Chop onion and garlic and add to frying pan with the chorizo and bacon
Meanwhile preheat the beans in a medium pot
After frying the chorizo, bacon, onion and garlic for approximately 10 minutes add them to the pot of beans.
Chop up remaining vegetables (tomato, pepper and parsley)
Add to the pot of beans
Stir well to mix all the ingredients
Boil over low heat with a lid on the pot for a further ten minutes.
Turn heat off and let rest for 1 minute
Serve hot with some bread
*salt and pepper optional
Enjoy!
Charro Beans also known as Frijoles charros, cowboy beans or pinto beans...available in the can or dry...Note if using dry soak them overnight
