I'd say that was a red dot sight (or the sci-fi equivalent). Loading a clip there would pretty much leave you with just the spray and pray option

i dont wanna be a besserweisser but that is a Tau design on the armour id guess a lighter version of the commander armour or a heavier stealthsuit
and the weapon is a Tau pulse carbine.....
workd with 40k lore though as they assimilate alot of various aliens for the greater good *cough*

and yes i did this cause im a 40k Fanatic
