I love Xanadu. I went out and baught it. I love it for the music more than the acting tho (grin) ELO and ONJ (HAPPY SIGH)

It's a great movie :) yes the acting is bad, but it's a feel good movie, so few movies out now a days without any conflict at all.

Disco died right before this film came out, so the general public was like, meh i'll pass.

it's too bad, it's a fun film really.

I aggree, that it's a rare 'feel good' movie, so few of those nowadays.

No, this film did not kill disco like so many say it did, what killed Disco was Disney takeing thier cassic songs & makeing Disco versions of them.

I think Disco Duck came out after Disco was dead too... *checks Wikipedia* I'm wrong, Disco Duck was 1976, the bicentenial... The day Disco died was the day Steve Dahl and Gary Meyer blew up a huge stack of disco albums in Comiskey Park in Chicago on July 12, 1979... It started a riot, the second game was called, and the nation gave up its love for disco. "Disco Demolition" is how it's remembered.
