Here is this year's christmas card design for my family, featuring Wolfy! (of course) I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but my mom basically told me what she wanted to see specifically in this piece. I tried to work this from an illustrator's standpoint, going through thumbnails and colour studies and whatnot... I think it turned out well overall. I did struggle with making it look like he was looking out a window without showing the window frame itself, but I don't think I could have "zoomed in" as much as my mom wanted if I showed the window frame.
I put more effort into this christmas card design because I wanted to show off my art skills to my family.
ALSO (the reason I put a lot of effort into this)....
I'm going to donate the framed original to Eskie rescuers United ( http://www.eskierescuers.org/ ) if they will take it. If not, I'm going to try and sell it myself and donate the proceeds to them directly.

Amazing! I love it so much! I can tell you put a lot of hard work into this, and I'm sure the rescue organization will really appreciate it. If not, I would love to bid on such an adorable piece knowing that it would help the rescued dogs. What a great holiday image and spirit. Awesome.
This is extremely pretty. It is very lifelike and looks as if it has taken many hours of your life to become such a masterpiece.
Though, why not put a small frame around the outside of the picture on the cards? Simply resize the picture to leave a small border on the card and photoshop and very small frame around it, Or would that not work?
