Thought it would be nice to go back to a 'normal' character with Catwoman.
Where do I even begin with this one? So much history... She was originally conceived in 1940, but at the time was only known as The Cat, wearing no special costume or mask. She was partially inspired by Bob Kane's cousin, Ruth Steel. Kane, mentions that that Jean Harlow was also a model for the design.
Though nearly always known as Selina Kyle, the only other iteration of an alter-ego was in the 1960's Adam West Batman where Catwoman pretended to be a Russian woman named Ms. Kitka, though this was not her true identity since that version of Catwoman was never given a true alter-ego.

Just like trying to figure out what to say about her, this was one of those characters that I just couldn't seem to settle on one version of. There are at least 9 (minimum) different versions of just this one character.
There was so much I wanted to do, I was originally going to do the purple suit, then I wanted to do the Michelle Pfeiffer version, then there's an all black version with some utility belt and back pack, there's a version with just a simple "cat" mask and then the full hood and even a variant with goggles.
I ultimately just settled on a "my version". It's a simple vinyl suit with full hood and whip. I figured I would keep it simple as it would certainly get the point across.
So, apologies if you were disappointed expecting to see a specific version, but truth be told, I could literally make an entire series of just this one character :P

I have a love-hate relationship with Catwoman. When I was younger, I didn't like her. It wasn't the "eeew, cuties" thing since I was crazy over Harley. It was just Catwoman's ability to steal and never get in trouble. When she did get in trouble, it didn't seem to do much. I love her, I love her personality, I just hate how none of her actions come back on her.
Personally I like dthe pruple suit, but a black one makes more sense for a thief. About the lack of a utility belt, that would change depending on the job she is going to pull.
Both the purplr suit and your version have one thing missing. A tail. While I agree it being impractical, I liked it none the less.
Mrrr...
As for other Bat-Femmes, how about an adult (age-whise) Robin from 'Dark Knight returns'?
Not from Batman, but still, Cheetah, Wonder Woman's arch enemy?

I think I saw some of that, but since the Comic Shop I workde for went belly-up, I'm not up to date. Personally both Marvel and DC have little to offer for me these days, even if I was better informed. At least Peter David 'fixed' Wolfsbane in X-Factor. What the other writers did to that character was abominable after they stole her from X-Factor (the only Mainstream Comic I'm still reading and only because of the writer).
I don't know. It's my interpretation of it. But looking at it, if all these storylines have been as successful as I heard, there must have been other reasons for the reboot. Writing themselves into a dead end for example.
Aside from that, all that brainwashing buisness in 'Identity Crises' with Superman knowing what was going on and letting it? Killing off Elongated Man (Randolph "Ralph" Dibny)'s wife by the Atoms Ex-Wife? The only happy and stable couple in the DC Universe? Reveiling she had been raped years ago by Dr. Light? Robin's Dad getting killed in the same storyline?
They went on killing off minor characters in the following storylines. Especially furry heroes and Villains (one of the Hyenas, an anthro lion Villain and Pantha, a Teen/New Titans member that got beheaded by Superboy Prime).
Actually I'm glad I didn't see much about that 'Blackest Nigth' Crossover.

Very sexy Catwoman there. :) My favorite, however will still always be Halle Berry.
And before anyone makes a comment about how bad that movie was - I'll admit, it was no Oscar-winner - let me just state that if you're watching that movie for the plot, you're not watching it right. I'd watch a documentary on the history of wheat germ if Halle Berry wore a revealing outfit in it. But perhaps that's just me.
