ahh, well with gold, solder comes in wire, or in little plates and you nip off little squares. You have to use a torch, rather than a gun, and lots of flux/borax to keep the metal from getting firescale and getting all icky looking.
I hope I can get the tools and materials together soon to start making other stuff.
