My image of family is poisoned by my experience. Half the family just rejects me because I'm half German.

This is why I learned to pre-emptively reject the world.
It's because of ww2, that half of my family bolted before the Germans got to Czechoslovakia. So they irrationally hate even the generations that came after that like my father, whose only crime is being the son of a German soldier (who actually helped the Allies when they came in by serving as a translator).

Yeah. However, it's my one family member with French blood that's being a cunt. I've never heard her say anything nice to or about anyone, she is a gossip.

I'm very adverse to physical contact.

But sadly there isn't.

It's mostly because it's very uncomfortable. Portions of my skin just like to blister for the hell of it. And because it seems like a lot of people want to hug in a way that hurts my lower back, I'm usually fine so long as it's more of a side hug.

that depends on the day. I have dermetitis... for one many people don't like touching my hand because they don't know it's not contagious, and somedays it gets to the point where I can't move my finger without hurting. Thankfully my doc upgraded my perscription to something a lot stronger, and normally it stays on just my fingers.

I unfortunately did not get my mother's skin, haha.

.......I have an Aunt just like that. I made a very long and hate filled journal on her AND my younger cousin. For years I have tried to make her happy with my art only for her to say negative stuff on it JUST because she doesn't like that type or art. Like....anime. Anything I draw anime, or furry, or anything fun she hates. It has to be real and clean for her to like it.
Other than jerk relatives, nice work there~ I'm not afraid to say that I am a fan of gore in this sense.

That blows big time. It really sucks when family members refuse to realize that you're happy with what you draw and that's what really matters. My grandmother can't stand my cartoons or monsters, she thinks I should be painting watercolor flowers and shit like that.

Meh *shrugs* it is what it is... I have two "adopted" mommies who are 10 times the mom she's been. So I have lucked out.

Yeah, I have an aunt who's like that. It sucks, especially when you're in situations where you are forced to deal with her. But the older generation are stuck in their beliefs and opinions, whether they are right or not. There's a closed-mindedness that is there. You are an amazing artist and your work is your own and you shouldn't ever let anyone try to bring you down through something you love. The only point-of-view of yourself that matters is your own.

Yeah, she does everything in her power to rope members of the family into owing her something. She manipulates everyone, then goes back on her word, and talks shit about everyone... my cousin is the only person she's ever been nice to; because miss "perfect" has kids from two different fathers, dropped out of school because she got bored with that, but fuck! She had babies therefore she gets the only affection.

That is quite harsh for that family member to do that.

The only comfort is, she does it to pretty much everyone. That woman has never even said "I love you" to me or any other family member.

Members like that in my family too. Beautiful work though
